Foursquare ITP is seeking a Graphic Designer to bring transportation planning projects to life through creative, detail-oriented design. In this role, you will develop compelling visual communication for public agencies and transit projects, focusing on wayfinding, public outreach, and branding.
What You'll Do
- Design and assemble documents like reports, posters, brochures, and presentations, including creating templates.
- Create engaging infographics, diagrams, and illustrations that tell clear stories.
- Develop branding and identity systems for transit projects or public agencies.
- Produce animations and videos of varying complexity for projects and campaigns.
- Create prototypes and mockups for webpages and websites, especially for outreach campaigns.
- Develop wayfinding elements like system maps, bus stop signs, transit schedules, and route profiles.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least one year of relevant design experience.
- A strong grasp of graphic design principles, especially in creating information hierarchies, consistent brands, and accessible designs.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, detail-oriented design tasks with extensive quality control needs.
- Passion for multi-modal transportation and interest in growing your experience in the field.
- Ability to manage your workload and communicate progress and capacity with project managers and team.
- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator, with proven use of styles and templates for complex documents.
- Required knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, especially its document assembly and accessibility tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some knowledge of ArcGIS Pro.
Nice to Have
- Three-plus years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with animation, video/photo editing, or web design tools like Figma, Balsamiq, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Dreamweaver, or ArcGIS Hubs.
- UI/UX and HTML knowledge.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn best practices for wayfinding accessibility, assembly, and materials.

You will join a 75+ person company and collaborate with staff across all offices and service areas under the guidance of multiple project managers, including graphic design and urban design teams.
