Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours (CST) About the Role Our client develops sophisticated data intelligence platforms that map intricate ownership, legal, and property connections utilizing graph technology. Their system extensively leverages Neo4j to organize, interconnect, and analyze highly relational information with accuracy, efficiency, and comprehensive traceability. We are recruiting a Graph Database Engineer or Full-Stack Engineer with substantial Neo4j and Cypher proficiency. The preferred candidate demonstrates robust backend capabilities, capable of managing graph data structures, enhancing complex queries, and constructing dependable data ingestion and integration frameworks. This position is pivotal in establishing how information is structured, processed, and distributed across individuals, properties, documents, transactions, and occurrences. Key Responsibilities Graph Data Modeling & Architecture: Construct, refine, and sustain Neo4j graph schemas. Validate data relationships are precise, standardized, and high-performance. Execute schema modifications aligned with product and technological objectives. Ownership, Lineage & Relationship Logic: Create computational strategies for ownership transformations, temporal updates, and event progressions. Preserve data lineage, transfers, and historical records through optimized frameworks. Cypher Query Engineering: Develop, enhance, and diagnose Cypher queries for traversal, lineage, analytics, and validation. Utilize PROFILE/EXPLAIN to identify performance challenges and restructure queries. Generate migration scripts and support extensive graph operations. Backend & Data Integration (Python or Full Stack): Develop backend services and ingestion pipelines (Python preferred; alternative backend languages acceptable if proficient in Neo4j integration). Connect Neo4j with APIs, SQL/NoSQL sources, and analytical systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard and structure emerging data sources. Governance, QA & Data Reliability: Implement validation protocols, constraints, quality assurance checks, and auditability. Ensure schema compliance, reproducibility, and clean version control across graph modifications. Required Skills & Experience Core Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with graph databases (Neo4j strongly preferred). Extensive experience modeling and querying interconnected datasets. Cypher & Querying: Advanced Cypher capabilities (path queries, pattern comprehension, aggregations, profiling). Backend Engineering: Strong backend development experience (Python preferred; Node.js/TypeScript/Java also acceptable). Experience constructing scalable integrations, ingestion pipelines, or backend services. Data Modeling: Experience with graph normalization, temporal modeling, or event-sourced architectures. Nice to Have: Experience with Dockerized Neo4j, APOC, or automated data pipelines. Full-stack experience (React, TypeScript, or similar). What You'll Do Serve as the primary architect for graph structures and data logic. Build scalable backend components driving graph computation and ingestion. Define and optimize complex real-world relationships within the knowledge graph. Contribute to the data foundation of an emerging AI-driven intelligence platform.
