Responsibilities
- Identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and public institutions
- Write and edit full proposal narratives and supporting documents
- Collaborate with program staff to gather technical and financial data
- Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and submission requirements
- Manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a calendar of upcoming funding deadlines
- Revise and improve proposal templates based on feedback
- Track submission status and follow up with funders as needed
- Support budget development in coordination with finance team
- Compile reports for ongoing grants
- Conduct research on funding trends in climate and environmental sectors
- Build relationships with partners contributing to proposals
- Translate technical project details into clear, persuasive language
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all applications
- Participate in strategy sessions for long-term funding planning
- Assist in creating organizational capability statements
- Prepare presentations for donor engagement
- Review grant agreements for reporting and compliance obligations
- Archive completed proposals for future reference
- Stay updated on European climate policy developments relevant to funding
- Use project management tools to coordinate proposal workflows
- Contribute to post-submission debriefs and evaluations
- Support knowledge sharing across the grants team
- Adapt tone and structure for different donor audiences
- Ensure all submissions meet formatting and language standards
