St Vincent’s Health Australia is looking for a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join a two-year rotational graduate program. This program supports newly graduated occupational therapists to consolidate discipline-specific skills and develop mental health competencies for a successful transition to practice. You will be part of an established Allied Health graduate program with a focus on learning, reflective practice, supervision, and self-care.
What You'll Do
- Participate in a rotational program across various mental health clinical settings.
- Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, closely with Grade 2 and Senior Occupational Therapists.
- Contribute to team decisions and learn from colleagues.
- Actively participate in knowledge development and progression as an Occupational Therapist and mental health clinician.
- Help meet the needs of consumers and families/carers experiencing mental illness.
- Rotate through areas including Adult Community Mental Health Clinics, Residential Recovery Services, and Adult and Older Adult Acute Inpatient Units.
What We're Looking For
- A qualification in Occupational Therapy within the last twenty-four months.
- Current registration with AHPRA (Occupational Therapy Board).
- Current driver’s license.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain.
- Strong interest in mental health and well-being.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as a team member and contribute to team decisions.
- Willingness to learn from those around you.
- Interest in understanding issues experienced by people with mental illness and a commitment to helping meet their needs.
- Computer literacy.

- Compensation: Occupational Therapist Grade 1 YB14 - YB19 ($68,868 - $87,989 per annum). Reclassification and increase in remuneration expected in early 2026.
