About the Role

RATIONAL AG is looking for a Global Purchasing Processes and Digitalization Expert to shape the strategic development of our global purchasing function. You will contribute to process harmonization, efficiency gains, and the implementation of digital solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze the existing process landscape and derive improvements for a company-wide rollout, involving national and international process partners.
  • Develop and implement global reporting for purchasing controlling with a focus on cost, quality, delivery reliability, and sustainability.
  • Manage and optimize our existing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) application.
  • Drive the continuous development of system-supported purchasing processes within the SRM using KPIs and external benchmarks, aligning them with our global purchasing strategy.
  • Conceive and conduct training independently, ensuring qualified user support for all global purchasing users.

What We're Looking For

  • A completed degree in technical or business studies or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, process management, or digital transformation management.
  • Pronounced intercultural competencies and proven international experience.
  • Ability to work independently, use creative freedom effectively, and combine structured, conceptual thinking with a hands-on mentality.
  • A strong personality in dealing with colleagues and interfaces, coupled with strong customer orientation and a pronounced service mentality.
  • Confident German and English language skills, alongside strong communication and moderation skills.
  • Willingness for occasional business trips, including international travel.
