Responsibilities
- Lead the defense of clients in general liability litigation matters
- Conduct thorough case evaluations and develop strategic legal approaches
- Manage all phases of the litigation process from inception to resolution
- Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Perform legal research to support case positions and arguments
- Interview witnesses and coordinate with experts
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions
- Advise clients on risk exposure and liability implications
- Ensure compliance with court rules and procedural deadlines
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation
- Communicate case developments and strategy recommendations to clients
- Collaborate with co-counsel and external legal teams
- Support internal knowledge management and practice group initiatives
- Participate in professional development and training activities
