Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of liability claims
- Gather and analyze evidence relevant to case outcomes
- Draft and file legal pleadings and court documents
- Participate in depositions and witness interviews
- Prepare for and attend hearings and trials
- Engage in legal research to support case strategies
- Develop case theories and defense approaches
- Communicate regularly with clients and adjusters
- Respond to discovery requests and produce documents
- Draft motions and memoranda for court submission
- Evaluate damages and exposure in claims
- Coordinate with experts and consultants
- Maintain accurate case files and records
- Assist in settlement discussions and negotiations
- Ensure compliance with procedural rules and deadlines
- Represent clients during mediation sessions
- Monitor developments in relevant areas of law
- Provide updates on case progress to stakeholders
- Work within multidisciplinary legal teams
- Manage multiple cases efficiently under deadlines
