Samsung Electronics America is hiring a GC Performance Verification Engineer to join our team at the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). In this role, you will ensure our GPU designs meet strict performance specifications by developing and executing comprehensive verification strategies.
What You'll Do
- Architect, develop, and execute comprehensive performance verification strategies to ensure GPU designs meet performance targets.
- Design and implement tool/test environments, test content, and verification flows to verify design performance.
- Work closely with Architecture and Modeling teams to define design targets and provide feedback on trade-offs.
- Analyze and correlate performance data across silicon, emulation, and architectural models.
- Identify and prioritize performance optimization opportunities.
- Participate in silicon debug and develop new pre-silicon testing strategies to detect failures.
- Work with Architecture and RTL teams to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and provide progress updates.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or 8+ years with a Master’s, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Proven experience in pre-silicon performance verification, including architecting and driving PV strategy.
- Strong understanding of GPU architecture, graphics processing, and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with performance verification methodologies, tools, and languages.
- Familiarity with performance analysis and optimization tools such as GPU profiling tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for a cross-functional environment.
Team & Environment
You'll be part of the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). This is a center of excellence for IP applied to high-performance computing devices.
