CoolGames is hiring a Game Developer to contribute to the entire lifecycle of HTML5 casual game development, from inception to live-ops and maintenance. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary agile team delivering top-notch products and features for a global audience.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the entire lifecycle of HTML5 casual game development, from inception to live-ops and maintenance.
- Develop new titles, evolve existing games, and contribute to the maintenance and evolution of internal tooling.
- Take responsibility for delivering high-quality products, raising risks early, and helping improve the codebase.
- Manage time and productivity to deliver robust code while meeting established deadlines.
- Perform optimization, debugging, fix bugs, perform code reviews, review requirements, work on platform compatibility, and ensure games remain stable and performant.
What We're Looking For
- At least 4 years of experience programming professionally.
- Solid knowledge of development best practices.
- Strong collaborative mindset.
- Ability to strike a balance between speed and quality.
- Consistently accurate estimations.
- Proactive communication and mitigation of technical risk.
- Understanding of the commercial reality of casual games.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Experience with version control tools like git.
- Experience with web game tech (e.g., PIXI/Phaser/Three.js).
Nice to Have
- Experience with HTML5 games, Typescript and JavaScript is a plus.
