About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining full stack web applications with a focus on backend services in Django and frontend interfaces using Next.js, while collaborating closely with product and design teams to deliver reliable, secure, and user-centric healthcare technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services using Django and Django REST Framework
- Build responsive user interfaces with Next.js and modern frontend tooling
- Collaborate with product managers to define feature requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a timely manner
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Work with APIs to integrate third-party services and internal systems
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy regulations
- Contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing systems
- Maintain documentation for codebases and system workflows
- Support deployment pipelines and DevOps practices
- Monitor application health and respond to alerts
- Engage in agile development cycles with iterative delivery
- Stay current with evolving web technologies and best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech
- Familiarity with HIPAA or similar data protection standards
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Background in test-driven development
- Previous work in startup environments
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
