ING is looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to join our IT Engineering community in Madrid, Spain. You will learn our Way of Working and technology platforms while being allocated to a project where you will contribute directly to the code base and make an impact on our customers. What You'll Do
- Assist in implementing new components and features following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in understanding and refining user stories to contribute to their development.
- Support the team in the use and understanding of different environments like development, integration, and production.
- Learn about the release process and support the deployment of new functionalities.
- Help monitor applications and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Basic proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and interest in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Understanding of responsive design, web standards, and basic UI/UX principles.
- Interest in writing clean, maintainable code and learning unit/component testing.
- Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools like Git and Azure DevOps.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative Scrum environment and actively learn from teammates.
- Curiosity about frontend fundamentals such as components, state management, accessibility, and web performance.
