Apexon is seeking a Front-End React Developer with 7+ years of hands-on development experience to join a dynamic, fast-paced project in Austin, TX. The role involves working on mission-driven applications, contributing to technical design, and collaborating with product and engineering teams while supporting a strong social mission.
What You'll Do
- Designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, business logic layer, data access layer)
- Working with distributed architectures using integration hubs such as Data Power, Mule, or any ESBs
- Integrating APIs with respective screens
- Developing Higher Order Components (HOC) and working with custom frameworks or libraries
- Debugging and resolving production issues
- Writing unit test cases using Jest, Enzyme, or Mocha
- Developing applications with ADA compliance
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements
- Adapting quickly to an existing, complex environment
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of work experience with hands-on development
- In-depth experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, business logic layer, data access layer)
- Experience with distributed architectures using integration hubs such as Data Power, Mule, or any ESBs
- Experience with TypeScript or ECMAScript (ES6 or latest)
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap or similar, JavaScript, React, Redux
- Experience in integrating API with the respective screens
- Experience in developing Higher Order Components (HOC) and working with custom frameworks or libraries
- Strong debugging skills and experience resolving production issues
- Experience in writing unit test cases with Jest, Enzyme, or Mocha
- Experience in developing applications with ADA compliance
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and/or technology
- Must have done hands-on development in most recent projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to smoothly interact with development team leadership and clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and a team-player

- Experience in code review
- Mentor junior staff and lead technical designs
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
- Project experience in working with Agile processes
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and use of application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA, JAMA, etc.
