Requirements
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years writing custom HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript code
- Proficient in creating semantic and modular front end markup following W3C standards
- Skilled in testing and debugging across multiple web browsers
- Experienced in optimizing web performance using tools like YSlow or PageSpeed
- Able to interpret and export assets from Photoshop for web use
- Capable of writing basic SQL queries including SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE
- Familiar with jQuery for DOM manipulation and event handling
- Experienced in server-side templating using JSP/JSTL or similar technologies such as PHP or ASP
- Solid understanding of SEO and SEM principles and implementation
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of progressive enhancement, mobile-first design, and responsive web development
- Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks and their underlying design patterns
- Proficiency with CSS preprocessors, particularly SASS or LESS
- Experience working with JavaScript MV frameworks including React, Backbone, Angular, or Ember
Required (9)
- 5+-8+ years’ experience writing custom HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Expertise writing semantic, modular front end code using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- Expertise in performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed
- Experience navigating Photoshop and slicing/saving images for the web
- Experience writing simple SQL statements (SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, DELETE)
- Experience using jQuery
- Experience using JSP/JSTL or equivalent server side templating language (PHP, ASP)
- A firm grasp of SEO / SEM best practices

- Understanding the concepts of progressive enhancement, mobile first and responsive design
- Some level of experience working with various front-end frameworks and the concepts behind them
