Mindrift is hiring a Freelance Statistician to test, evaluate, and improve AI systems through focused project work. This role involves assessing AI reasoning for correctness and aligning it with professional statistical practice.
What You'll Do
- Design rigorous statistics problems that reflect professional practice.
- Evaluate AI solutions for correctness, assumptions, and constraints.
- Validate calculations and simulations using Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
- Improve AI reasoning to align with industry-standard logic.
- Apply structured scoring criteria to multi-step problems.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Statistics or a related field such as Probability Theory, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics.
- 3+ years of professional mathematics experience.
- Strong written English skills at a C1/C2 level.
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation.
- A stable internet connection.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as PStat, CAP, or SAS Certifications.
- Experience working on international or applied projects.
