Unit8 SA is hiring a Foundry Engineer to join our team in Kraków, Wrocław, or Warsaw, Poland. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the core data platform that powers our projects and services. You will work on foundational infrastructure that enables data processing, analytics, and machine learning workflows.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage scalable data platform infrastructure
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand platform requirements
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and managing data platforms or large-scale infrastructure
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java
- Expertise with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Deep understanding of data storage, processing frameworks, and orchestration tools
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on system reliability
Nice to Have
- Experience with data mesh or data fabric architectures
- Knowledge of machine learning operations (MLOps) practices
- Background in working with data governance and security frameworks
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks
