Weekday is hiring a Founding Software Engineer to build the core agentic AI engine of our product. This is an early, high-ownership role where you will work directly with founders and the CTO to design and ship reliable, production-grade AI systems that perform real-world tasks end-to-end.
What You'll Do
- Build the core agentic AI engine of the product.
- Design and ship AI systems that perform real-world tasks end-to-end.
- Work on how AI agents plan, execute, and verify complex, messy real-world processes.
- Define new best practices for agentic software, using audit workflows as an ideal domain.
- Shape core product architecture and influence how AI agents behave.
- Help define how enterprise software is built going forward.
- Work closely with users, iterate rapidly, and ship features that are used immediately.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Applied AI engineering experience.
- Full-stack software development experience.
- Experience building production-grade agentic AI systems.
- Experience designing and shipping core AI engine features.
