Lead U.S. hiring with intelligence and impact in a pivotal role at an early-stage company redefining how talent is sourced and hired. As the Founding Recruiter, you’ll manage end-to-end recruitment for U.S.-based positions using an AI-powered platform designed to surface top-tier candidates efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting—from sourcing to offer—using intelligent matching technology to identify high-potential talent.
- Evaluate AI-generated candidate recommendations and apply human judgment to surface the best fits.
- Conduct interviews, assess qualifications, and deliver concise, high-quality shortlists to hiring teams.
- Collaborate directly with clients to clarify role needs, challenge assumptions when necessary, and guide hiring strategy.
- Manage pipelines with precision, ensuring candidates move quickly and smoothly through each stage.
- Provide structured input to engineering teams to refine matching algorithms and improve platform effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records, detailed notes, and consistent documentation across all searches.
- Balanced prioritization across multiple roles, driving each to successful closure with minimal supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years of recruiting experience focused on U.S. roles, ideally in startups or high-velocity environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and hiring managers.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with attention to clarity and professionalism.
- Comfort working within Pacific Time, including occasional availability outside standard hours.
- Proven ability to operate independently, make sound judgments, and take full ownership of outcomes.
- Experience evaluating candidates beyond keywords—assessing skills, experience, and cultural contribution.
- Familiarity with ATS systems, recruiting tools, and AI-enhanced workflows.
Nice-to-Have
- Recruiting experience across engineering, sales, operations, and general & administrative roles.
- Background in both agency and in-house talent acquisition.
- Direct experience improving recruiting tools, processes, or product feedback loops.
- Track record managing multiple high-volume searches simultaneously.
