Sailor Health is looking for a Founding Data Engineer to architect and scale our foundational data platform, which powers everything from clinical insights to AI copilots. You'll work closely with co-founders, clinicians, and engineers to build the pipelines, models, and analytics that fuel care delivery and decision-making for older adults.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain pipelines in Snowflake and dbt that unify data from EHR, CRM, and communication systems.
- Develop AI- and ML-driven analyses of therapy transcripts and patient data.
- Automate backend operations with Python scripts that power clinical and billing workflows.
- Track and visualize clinical outcomes (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7).
- Create data apps and dashboards in Hex using SQL and Python.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians and founders to turn data into action.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics.
- Fluency in SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake.
- High EQ and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical teammates.
- A fast-moving, high-bar mindset with a deep care for improving mental health for older adults.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GraphQL, APIs, and unstructured data (e.g., transcripts).
