Addepar is seeking one of its first engineering hires in Singapore, a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), to play a critical role in shaping the company’s growth in the region. FDEs partner directly with key technical and strategic stakeholders at Addepar’s largest enterprise clients, delivering high-impact solutions through custom integrations and platform extensions while acting as an extension of the core product team.
What You'll Do
- Work in small, agile teams with minimal supervision, setting priorities and managing client interactions
- Take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of high-value projects
- Gain exposure to a wide variety of technical challenges, new technologies, and complex problem-solving opportunities
- Turn lessons learned from client engagements into scalable, long-term solutions
- Collaborate closely with Addepar’s engineering and product teams to share insights, inform design strategy, and contribute directly to our core product
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a professional Software Engineer
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (Java and/or Python preferred), and/or compiled languages (Go, Rust, Scala preferred)
- Experience building systems with relational or NoSQL database storage
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or another technical field, paired with professional software engineering experience
- Strong ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, and build strong working relationships
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and collaborative team environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in one or more strongly typed server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, C++)
- Experience with distributed storage and execution frameworks (e.g., Arrow, Spark, Flink, Storm)
