Speakeasy is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be a primary technical point of contact for our customers. You will work directly with them to solve complex challenges, improve their developer experience, and ensure they successfully use our products.
What You'll Do
- Work on technical challenges for developer-focused products and dive deep into new technologies.
- Answer customer questions, triage issues, ship hotfixes, and proactively identify ways to improve their experience.
- Explain complex technical concepts clearly in Slack messages, documentation, or on customer calls.
- Context-switch between multiple customers and priorities throughout the day.
- Help customers while writing great code, viewing support and engineering as integrated roles.

- Experience working directly with external customers in a technical capacity.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on internal platform engineering teams, developer tools, developer productivity, or infrastructure products at scale.
- Generalist and polyglot engineer with ability to pick up new frameworks quickly and work across the stack.
- Experience with code generation, transpilation, synthesis, or building/extending core web frameworks like Axios, tRPC, or Mux.
- Expertise with OpenAPI, codemods, linters, building SDKs, or other tooling for REST APIs.
- Expertise using LLMs for code generation or code completion.
