The Senior Software Developer at Thanx will architect and develop robust, scalable software solutions across the full stack while enhancing system stability and resilience. This role involves active collaboration, technical debt management, and continuous learning within a remote-first engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Architect and develop well-crafted, scalable, maintainable, and resilient software across the entire stack
- Diagnose and address bugs while tackling root causes to improve software stability and resilience
- Ensure a seamless user experience through proactive system monitoring and improvements
- Participate in on-call rotation with all other engineers
- Engage proactively in pull requests and spike documents
- Share insights and expertise to foster a collaborative team environment
- Drive continuous improvement through active collaboration
- Collaborate with the team to systematically identify and mitigate technical debt
- Ensure a sustainable and optimized software development process over time
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in software development
- Actively participate in team learning sessions, workshops, and training opportunities
- Enhance technical skills and knowledge through ongoing education
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years experience as a developer working with modern web frameworks, such as RoR, Django, or similar
- Experience with modern front-end technologies, such as React, Angular, Typescript or similar
- Excitement to work on full-stack problems, even if interests lean toward one part of the stack
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams in a remote environment
- Ability to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Ruby on Rails, React & React Native
- B.Sc or higher in Computer Science
- Experience with deploying infrastructure as code with SDKs like AWS CDK or Terraform
- Experience with Snowflake, Fivetran and DBT
- Experience working at an early stage startup

Compensation: L4 Range: $75,000–$95,000 USD; L5 Range: $90,000–$110,000 USD
