Prematch is seeking a Foreclosure Specialist II to manage the foreclosure process for an assigned portfolio of mortgage loans, contested foreclosures, and other litigation. You will ensure foreclosures are completed timely and in accordance with investor guidelines. This role also provides crucial administrative support related to the foreclosure process.
What You'll Do
- Monitor foreclosure progress from referral to post-foreclosure, managing holds, issues, and research needed to complete the action.
- Communicate with foreclosure attorneys to understand, minimize, and avoid delays.
- Work with attorneys to resolve simple contested litigation actions and title issues.
- Provide necessary status updates to investors during the process.
- Assemble and provide documentation for investor or regulatory audit requests.
- Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports for the Foreclosure team.
- Ensure investor deadlines are met, including FHA 1st legal and eviction deadlines.
- Prepare bidding instructions per investor guidelines and manage bidding for non-first-position liens.
- Review VA appraiser invoices for payment, obtain W-9s, and submit for processing.
- Perform initial review of foreclosure documents and submit to Tier 2 Reviewer for execution.
- Review equity position and prepare equity analysis for potential charge off.
- Provide sale results to investors, MI companies, and other parties, updating systems as required.
- Work with attorneys to ensure proper reporting of foreclosure status to investors.
- Manage assigned tasks to hold, close, or proceed with foreclosures within required SLAs.
- Complete daily Sale Result QC for the Foreclosure team.
- Monitor, distribute, and respond to emails sent to team email boxes.
- Receive, review, and distribute legal mail to avoid risk of loss and determine if external counsel is needed.
- Request checks for disbursement of bid deposits, senior lien payoffs, and settlements.
- Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls per Company standards and policies.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A combined 3 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a Default Servicing related field (e.g., Collections, REO, Loss Mitigation).
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivated, team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
Nice to Have
- 3 years of Default Servicing related field experience (e.g., Collections, REO, Loss Mitigation).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of bank and departmental systems.
- Understanding of mortgage products including home equity loans and lines of credit.
- Experience reading and comprehending the contents of legal documents.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18.57 - $30.95 per hour (USD).

This is an onsite position located in Clanton, Alabama, United States of America.
