UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is hiring a Food Service Liaison to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining patient diet orders through automated diet office software. You'll use strong customer service skills to interact with patients and nursing staff directly, working to resolve food service issues efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Communicate patient concerns or issues to supervisors or clinical staff promptly.
- Process all phone calls using appropriate telephone skills and follow up on issues to timely resolution.
- Process all nutrition care orders according to established procedures accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot interface issues with diet orders and resolve them, reporting software and printer problems to the appropriate IS team.
- Prepare tray tickets for food assembly according to operational workflow procedures.
- Assist patients with menu planning in accordance with their diet order in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Maintain record-keeping and prepare reports as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Work permit required if under 18 years old.
- Act 34 clearance.
Nice to Have
- Prior Customer Service experience.
