Harlow's Casino Resort and Spa is hiring a Food Server to ensure every guest receives a memorable dining experience in our fine dining environment. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized outlet ready for service and following event leadership to care for guests during special functions.
What You'll Do
- Take patron orders and return them in a timely manner.
- Keep your assigned area clean and orderly.
- Perform responsible alcohol service and complete required training.
- Carry serving trays full of dinner plates.
- Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
- Clean, polish tableware, and pre-bus tables.
- Deliver and dispense ordered items, serving beverages, food, and non-food items via tray service.
- Perform guest banking for all dining room checks.
- Use Point of Sale equipment to enter orders for kitchen personnel.
- Operate equipment like coffee brewers, iced tea makers, and beverage dispensers.
- Bus tables promptly to accommodate new business.
- Work with communication devices such as telephones and policy systems.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of relevant information.
- Treat all guests to ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
- Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Commitment to adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Fine dining experience, preferably in a high-volume casino steakhouse.
- Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and basic food.
- 6 months of prior work experience.
