Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to function as the Business Manager and Marketing Specialist for all Food and Beverage operations. In this role, you will ensure every outlet and banquet operates successfully according to hotel standards, while driving individual profitability.
What You'll Do
- Ensure Food and Beverage activities align with Corporate Strategy and implemented Hotel Actions.
- Oversee preparation and updates of individual Departmental Operations Manuals.
- Conduct regular divisional communications meetings and ensure departmental briefings are effective.
- Represent the Food and Beverage function on the hotel's Executive Committee.
- Ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service.
- Ensure employees provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments.
- Spend time in public areas observing employee-guest interaction and coaching as necessary.
- Handle guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Maximize employee productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling.
- Ensure each profit center maximizes profit while delivering the brand promise.
- Ensure each cost centre operates with the lowest possible cost structure.
- Coordinate preparation of the Annual Business Plan for Food and Beverage.
- Analyze business performance strategically to facilitate accurate forecasting.
- Manage costs proactively based on key performance indicators.
- Ensure adherence to all financial, money handling, and licensing rules and regulations.
- Assist in inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment.
- Participate in weekly yield and revenue management meetings, overseeing pricing structures.
- Prepare, utilize, and update an Annual Marketing Plan, broken down by department.
- Evaluate market trends, vendors, and competitor operations.
- Encourage Heads of Department to look for Marketing and Public Relations opportunities.
- Ensure all company minimum brand standards and optional brand standards are implemented.
- Monitor all operations, especially during peak business periods, making adjustments where necessary.
- Ensure all Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20 are implemented.
- Provide feedback on Consumer Audit results and ensure relevant changes are implemented.
- Work closely with other Executive Committee members in a supportive and flexible manner.
- Ensure Food and Beverage employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
- Ensure all employees are up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products.
- Taste and monitor food and beverage products served, providing feedback where appropriate.
Team & Environment
You will represent the Food and Beverage department on the hotel's Executive Committee and work through Heads of Department to achieve operational goals.
