Brenntag North America is hiring a Food and Nutrition Intern for a 6-month fixed-term contract at our new laboratory in Leeds. This role provides an immersive opportunity to contribute to food product development and formulation while supporting our sales force, offering practical experience in food innovation and applications.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the development or formulation of product concepts using the latest raw materials.
- Conduct product evaluations to demonstrate functionality.
- Provide correct reporting to the I&AC Manager.
- Support the sales force to promote our raw materials and products.
- Participate in organising exhibitions and technical days.
What We're Looking For
- Current university student in your second year of a 3-year degree or third year of a 4-year degree in a STEM subject, OR a recent graduate with a STEM degree.
- Evidence of passion and achievement in academic or non-academic activities.
- Food enthusiast with the ability to describe food sensorial attributes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- I.T. skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Self-motivated with good organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office suite.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the Innovation and Development Centre (I&AC) for the UK & Ireland, operating within a wider network of laboratories across the EMEA region, and will report directly to the I&AC Manager for UK and Ireland.
Work Mode
This role is onsite at our laboratory in Leeds, UK.
