Nelnet Servicing, LLC is looking for a Firstmark Collections Recovery Specialist II to protect assets by collecting delinquent student loans. This role involves initiating outbound collection attempts via auto-dialer and handling some inbound calls. What You'll Do
- Commit to our Performance Based Organization and Easy To Do Business With philosophy.
- Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
- Contact borrowers via telephone, mail, and email to establish payment arrangements for delinquent accounts.
- Determine the most appropriate action plan for past due accounts, using strong negotiation to establish borrower payment plans.
- Provide account information and history to educate borrowers on the seriousness of their delinquency.
- Update demographic and other information on borrower accounts via the servicing system.
- Perform additional collection activities related to documents and reports.
What We're Looking For
- High school degree or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- 2 years of combined customer service, collections, and general work experience.
