Nucor is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our growing Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics team. This role will use data and financial insights to drive decision-making and optimize our supply chain operations.
What You'll Do
- Combine business, financial, and technical knowledge to develop tools for optimized supply chain management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop effective solutions.
- Stay current on business and industry issues to create proactive business intelligence solutions.
- Manage projects related to financial analysis, data management, and technical tool development.
- Connect business processes and macroeconomic information to supply chain operations to develop an optimized strategy.
- Unlock financial insights through technology to enable data-centric measurement of supply chain performance.
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to support decision-making, including scenario planning.
- Lead a high-performing team of finance professionals with a focus on career development.
- Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years’ experience in data/financial analysis, data management, and reporting.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with experience connecting business needs to technical solutions.
- A creative and innovative mentality focused on serving as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- CPA certification or eligibility.
- Experience in the steel or scrap metal industry.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, and Python.
