Base44 (part of Wix) is hiring a Field Service Technician / Servicetechniker (m/w/d) - Green Hydrogen Technology

Location: Germany & Europe | Working Hours: 40 hours/week This is predominantly an field-based role. You will reside in Germany, within approximately one hour's radius of a major German airport, and travel regularly to customer sites across Germany and Europe. About Us ITM Power manufactures PEM electrolyzers for green hydrogen production – a technology helping companies reduce CO₂ emissions and create a more sustainable economic landscape. To expand our service team, we seek a Field Service Technician with expertise in commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrically and pneumatically controlled installations. Tasks • Maintenance & servicing of PEM electrolyzers and associated systems at customer locations • Error analysis & diagnostic procedures using circuit diagrams, PLC systems, and process control technologies • Commissioning new installations and supporting client operational ramp-ups • Implementing safety standards and operating in high-pressure hydrogen environments per stringent guidelines • Documentation & reporting of completed activities • Serving as technical contact point for customers during service interventions Requirements • Completed technical qualification (e.g., Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Specialist, Industrial Mechanic, Technical Engineer, Master Craftsperson or equivalent) • Multiple years' experience in servicing, maintaining, or commissioning industrial, energy, or process facilities • Proficiency in PLC systems, electrical, pneumatic, or high-pressure gas system technologies • Experience with energy installations, hydrogen technology, electrolysis, or high-voltage systems is advantageous but not mandatory • Excellent German and English language skills • Class B driver's license and high travel readiness (assignments up to 4 weeks possible) Benefits • Contributing to one of the most critical future technologies in renewable energy • Attractive compensation package including travel expense coverage and paid travel time • 30 days annual leave • Modern work equipment, high-quality personal protective gear, and professional deployment planning • Engaging work across diverse customer locations • Dynamic, international team with significant field service autonomy • Comprehensive onboarding and continuous professional development opportunities We welcome your application – even if you don't meet 100% of requirements.
