Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), operating within the Danaher family of companies, is looking for a Field Service Engineer covering the Southeastern United States from a Florida base. In this remote role, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of critical laboratory equipment at customer sites, directly supporting scientists in their groundbreaking work.
What You'll Do
- Repair, install, and maintain Beckman Coulter equipment directly at customer sites.
- Increase system throughput, decrease downtime, perform regular preventive maintenance, and conduct equipment upgrades.
- Effectively price and position service agreements for both existing and new equipment.
- Assume accountability for daily management and monthly performance metrics (KPIs).
What We're Looking For
- An Associates degree, technical degree, or military equivalent with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel extensively—up to 80% of the time with 20% overnight stays covering Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Physical capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
- Willingness for occasional overnight travel and the flexibility to assist in other regions as business needs require.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree in a biomedical or related field.
- Previous hands-on experience with Flow cytometry, particle counting & characterization, and/or laboratory automation.
- Computer literacy, particularly with tools like Excel, Oracle, Salesforce, and/or Pro Service.
- Strong adaptability, demonstrating flexibility and understanding in the face of change.

You will be an integral member of the Southeast District, reporting directly to the Southeast District Service Manager. You’ll join a team operating within Danaher's proven system of continuous improvement, where your unique perspective is valued.
Work Mode
This is a remote position requiring residence in Florida to effectively cover the Southeastern US territory.
