Sartorius seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality customer care, technical support, training, and field service for our Bio Analytics instruments. This remote position supports the Midwest region and involves significant travel to customer sites and Sartorius facilities.
What You'll Do
- Provide exceptional customer care and build positive relationships.
- Deliver technical support to resolve customer issues.
- Travel extensively via ground, train, and air, optimizing schedules to minimize travel.
- Train customers on the essential use and operation of Bio Analytics instruments.
- Perform field service, calibration, and installation of complex mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and field sterilizations.
- Assist with resolving IT issues related to system installations.
- Follow all company procedures and perform software updates and upgrades.
- Assist in drafting process and procedure documentation.
- Keep accurate written records and maintain a precise count of assigned parts.
- Produce timely, detailed service reports and prepare customer-facing repair estimates.
- Pass along identified sales leads to the sales manager.
- Travel to company facilities for training and conferences as needed.
- Lift items weighing up to 35 Kg.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in engineering, military training certifications, and/or 5+ years of proven field service experience.
- 3+ years of field service experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with excellent mechanical, electrical, and IT skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficient with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.

Work Mode
This is a remote position supporting the Midwest Region, including Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Nebraska, and additional North American regions. Extensive travel to customer sites and company facilities is required.
