KASTO Ltd is hiring a Field Service Engineer, home-based in the Birmingham area, to support our customers across the UK, Northern Ireland, and Southern Ireland. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our sawing and storage equipment, from installation to reactive maintenance.

What You'll Do

Conduct fault finding and diagnosis on sawing and storage equipment.
Respond to reactive breakdowns and handle unplanned maintenance.
Perform planned maintenance and routine servicing.
Replace components and carry out repairs.
Install and commission new equipment on customer sites.
Provide operator training and handover.
Complete all necessary administration and reporting.

What We're Looking For

This is a mobile / field based and home based position.
A flexible approach towards overtime and overnight stays when work dictates.
Proven knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, PLC (Siemens S5/S7), mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
High-level technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND) or demonstrable competency from an apprenticeship.
IT literacy and comfort with administration systems.
Consideration and professionalism when dealing with customers.
Ability to work collaboratively with the existing team of service engineers.
Pride in workmanship and quality with excellent attention to detail.

Nice to Have

Multi-skilled background, with an electrical bias preferred.

Team & Environment

You will join a busy service team that forms part of the UK service department, covering the whole of the UK including Northern and Southern Ireland.

Basic salary starting circa £30K (based on a 40-hour working week).
