About the Role
The engineer will handle on-site service tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure systems operate to specification, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver reliable technical support.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure hardware and software systems at customer locations
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on field equipment
- Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions promptly
- Document service activities and outcomes accurately
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with internal teams for parts and support
- Train clients on proper system usage and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts
- Follow up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction
- Adhere to service level agreements and response time targets
- Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams
- Update customer records and service logs
- Support remote diagnostics when possible
- Work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical users
- Ensure equipment calibration meets manufacturer standards
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules
- Follow company protocols for data security and confidentiality
- Report field trends and recurring issues to management
- Assist in improving service processes and documentation
- Attend required safety and technical training sessions
- Use diagnostic tools and software to assess system performance
- Manage time efficiently across multiple job sites
- Maintain professional conduct during client interactions
