Wärtsilä is hiring a Field Service Engineer to join the 4-Stroke Marine Power Team in Central Europe. You will perform maintenance and repair work on marine equipment aboard vessels or at land-based power plants, executing commissioning projects and troubleshooting tasks across the globe.
What You'll Do
- Perform commissioning, service activities, and complex repairs for 4-stroke engines aboard vessels or at land-based power plants.
- Execute work following organizational processes to achieve desired time, cost, and quality outcomes.
- Represent Wärtsilä to customers and the marine industry to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to earlier project phases like sales, design, engineering, purchasing, and installation when needed.
- Increase spare part sales through customer interaction and accurate field record keeping.
- Maintain and promote Wärtsilä’s high safety standards in all activities.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or Mechatronics.
- Some hands-on experience working with DF Engines or other mechanical equipment.
- Willingness to gain experience, travel the world extensively, and contribute a positive mindset.
- Ability to understand, use, and correct electrical and automation schematics and drawings.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Service and team minded, structured, with good attention to detail and self-motivating.
- Current residence in the Netherlands.
- In possession of a valid driver's license.

- Dutch language skills.

Work Mode
This is a global field role based in Central Europe, requiring extensive worldwide travel to perform on-site work aboard vessels and at power plants.
