About the Role

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to maintain critical medical equipment at hospitals and healthcare facilities in downtown Seattle. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance. You will work remotely with a company car provided.

What You'll Do

  • Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
  • Must comply with all customer access policies, including obtaining/providing proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks.
  • Must reside within 10 miles of downtown Seattle, WA.

Nice to Have

  • CT experience preferred, but will consider experience with other imaging modalities.
  • Experience with multi-vendor preferred.

Work Mode

This is a remote role supporting downtown Seattle facilities, requiring local residence and travel to customer sites. A company car is provided.
