As a Field Sales Engineer, you will play a key technical role in advancing sales projects across the East US. Your primary responsibility is to guide clients, consultants, and integrators through the full pre-sales cycle by delivering clear, accurate technical solutions tailored to their needs. You will translate complex system requirements into functional designs, supporting both field teams and internal stakeholders with documentation, quotations, and conceptual drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations for high-profile projects, ensuring Biamp solutions align with client goals
- Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions to integrators, consultants, and end-users
- Collaborate with account managers to build trusted relationships with technical and executive decision-makers
- Prepare system designs, technical submittals, and support materials during the pre-sale phase
- Represent the company at regional trade events, providing live demos and technical insight
- Act as the main technical liaison between Biamp and channel partners until order placement
- Contribute to product development by sharing field feedback with engineering and product teams
- Develop and review content for the company’s online knowledgebase and technical manuals
- Report customer insights and improvement opportunities to leadership
Qualifications
Candidates must have a solid foundation in professional audio, video, and control systems, with hands-on experience installing and programming AV solutions. Strong networking knowledge is essential, including design and troubleshooting in IP-based environments. Proficiency with CAD, EASE, and Microsoft Office is required. You should be comfortable presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences, from executives to engineers.
Applicants must be located in the East US with reliable access to a major international airport. The role involves frequent regional travel, occasional trips to national trade shows, and the ability to transport demo equipment up to 50 pounds. Remote work is supported, but self-motivation and organizational skills are critical.
Preferred Background
- Specialized experience in AV networking protocols
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, ENS, or CompTIA
- Fluency in a European language is an advantage
- Degree or professional credential in a related technical field
