Motorola Solutions is looking for a Field Engineer to play a key role in the deployment, optimization, and support of our MOTOTRBO Capacity Max and Safety Re-Imagined systems. You will be the technical liaison ensuring our solutions meet customer operational needs throughout their lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the MOTOTRBO Capacity Max Radio System.
- Provide daily support, monitoring, and maintenance for the system.
- Conduct annual Preventative Maintenance (PM) checks on Motorola infrastructure.
- Support system upgrades, site expansions, and system design.
- Collaborate with local technicians on callouts and emergencies.
- Coordinate additional technical assistance from Motorola TSO or other local resources.
- Assist with day-to-day subscriber programming.
- Follow up on repairs and technical support cases.
- Deliver ongoing training and technical briefings on product lifecycle changes and upgrades.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Customer NOC, Customer Technicians, and other relevant departments.
What We're Looking For
- Associates/Technical Certificate with 2+ years experience in RF, LMR, Networking, Radios or Communications OR 4+ years experience in RF, LMR, Networking, Radios or Communications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present and facilitate complex technical training sessions.
- Proficiency in the end-to-end lifecycle of computer network infrastructure (structured cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, bridges).
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with wired communications systems (LAN/WAN).
- Proven capability to install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, OS, and software infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
- Thorough understanding of standard telephony and dedicated data circuits (T1/E1) and packet switching.
- Extensive experience utilizing RF and LAN test equipment (service monitors, RF power meters, Ethernet test sets).
