The Tulsa World, a Lee Enterprises company, is hiring a full-time Features Writer to create narrative-driven stories on lifestyle, culture, profiles, and human interest in Tulsa and northeastern Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is digitally savvy and focused on producing content that matters to Green Country audiences.
What You'll Do
- Build trusted relationships with sources and communities.
- Use digital trends, interviews, data, social media, and original research to create daily cross-platform news content.
- Take photos and video for print and web.
- Work with colleagues on packages involving stories, photos, video, social media, and digital production.
- Think creatively to find exceptional stories in everyday life.
- Manage time to juggle multiple responsibilities.
- Write clean, clear, and accurate copy.
What We're Looking For
- Understanding of digital storytelling, audience engagement, content management systems (CMS), social media, and SEO content writing.
