About the Role
The Externship Placement Coordinator manages logistics and communications for externship programs, working closely with training partners and participants to ensure successful placements and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate placement logistics for externship participants
- Communicate regularly with training partners to confirm availability and requirements
- Match candidates to suitable externship opportunities based on program needs
- Maintain accurate records of placements and participant progress
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during externship assignments
- Support onboarding processes for new externs
- Track program timelines and ensure adherence to schedules
- Respond to inquiries from participants and partners in a timely manner
- Update internal systems with placement data and status changes
- Collaborate with program staff to refine placement strategies
- Gather feedback from externs and host sites to improve processes
- Assist in developing training materials for participants
- Monitor compliance with program guidelines and external requirements
- Facilitate orientation sessions for incoming externs
- Coordinate scheduling between multiple stakeholders
- Ensure all documentation is completed and filed appropriately
- Identify potential placement sites in collaboration with outreach teams
- Support quality assurance efforts across externship programs
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of participant and partner information
