ScionHealth is looking for an EVS Aid to ensure our hospital environment remains neat, safe, and sanitary. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of patient and facility areas.
What You'll Do
- Select cleaning materials and prepare cleaning solutions.
- Clean assigned areas, including walls, doors, fixtures, and patient equipment, with germicidal solutions.
- Sweep, mop floors, vacuum carpets, and spot clean carpets.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, vanity areas, showers, and commodes, replenishing essentials.
- Collect and remove trash, sanitizing garbage cans and compactor areas.
- May collect and transport hazardous waste in closed containers for sterilization.
- May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
- Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops, and community events.
- Return unused supplies to storage in an orderly manner.
What We're Looking For
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English to comprehend cleaning material instructions.
- Must have a record of good and regular attendance.
Nice to Have
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting.
