EverCommerce is hiring a Quality Engineer for the EverWell product to champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This remote role, based in New Zealand, focuses on building confidence in software quality through automation and team enablement.
What You'll Do
- Champion and coach product management and software engineers on best approaches to ensure software quality.
- Build and maintain automated test suites to enable rapid quality confidence.
- Help maintain high confidence from customers in the software they use and ensure business continuity.
- Influence the testing lifecycle of the product.
- Upskill the entire team on how to deliver performant, high quality software.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Software Engineer in Test, working closely with development teams.
- Demonstrated ability to shift quality left by influencing design and development practices.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end automated testing.
- Ability to work with engineers to write, review, and improve tests.
- Strong understanding of the test pyramid and when to apply each test type.
- Experience identifying and mitigating quality risk in complex systems.
- Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Familiarity with test data management and test environments.
- Experience reducing flaky tests and improving pipeline reliability.
