About the Role

ESPN is looking for a Social Media Intern for the Fall 2025 season to join our dynamic team. In this remote role, you’ll assist in creating and optimizing content across our social media channels, learning strategic publishing in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Ideate and optimize posts for Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and Facebook
  • Discover trending and viral content, clearing it for posting
  • Clip and edit short video moments and create graphics using Photoshop for various social platforms
  • Learn to apply news judgment and journalistic standards to the day’s top stories
  • Assist with compiling social analytics recaps and reports
  • Research new trends and social media applications to enhance ESPN’s channels

What We're Looking For

  • Elite knowledge of social media, including expertise on Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and Facebook
  • Strong writing, copyediting skills, creative thinking, and solid news judgment
  • Elite knowledge of all sports, including current athletes, rules, and events
  • Familiarity with ESPN shows, talent, and digital products
  • Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Avid, or After Effects) and photo editing software (Photoshop)
  • Enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR current participation in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Able to maintain a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from September 22nd through December 12, 2025 for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

Nice to Have

  • Historical knowledge of sports
  • Familiarity with the sports media landscape, including business trends and technologies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional role, organization, or activity
  • Junior or Senior year standing preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Sports Media, Communications or a related field preferred
