Insight Enterprises is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Architect to design sophisticated solutions on Google Cloud Platform, directly influence our client engagements, and drive technical excellence. In this role, you will be the lead technical voice in proposals and a trusted advisor to our clients.
What You'll Do
- Design and architect complex, multi-workload solutions on Google Cloud Platform to meet client business objectives.
- Act as the lead technical author for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring the proposed solutions are technically sound and feasible.
- Build relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, best practices, and innovation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify, qualify, and win new opportunities by developing and presenting compelling technical solutions.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer challenges and translate their requirements into a clear architectural roadmap.
- Provide technical oversight and act as an escalation point during project delivery to ensure the solution is implemented as designed.
- Provide mentorship to other technical team members as needed and contribute to the development of intellectual property and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field.
- 12 months of experience in job offered, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, Senior Web System Engineer, or closely related role.
- Experience evaluating GCP/AWS and Kubernetes based solutions to plan and design the cloud digital transformation for various Organization Business Units.
- Experience collaborating with clients to define the current and future state business processes and strategies.
- Ability to present regular briefings to executive leadership regarding Project Timelines, budgets and milestone deliveries.
- Experience leading teams supporting critical business application projects through complete SDLC in Hybrid cloud model, and providing highly available and scalable infrastructure design and solutions also defined network layer requirements for infrastructure.
- Ability to apply deep knowledge of Application Modernization and DevOps, including designing containerized and serverless architectures using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run; utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CI/CD practices.
- Proficient in understanding of Cloud Security Architecture, including designing secure solutions with best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM), data encryption, and network security controls.
- Experience supporting more than 100 business applications across over 500 hosts, engineering, building, and maintaining enterprise middleware in multi-tier EDMZ environments; supporting major datacenter upgrades and migration projects.
- Experience supporting and optimizing business processes and applications using system testing and technical best-practices as well as identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks through system tuning and application refinement on WebLogic, Websphere, Tomcat, JBOSS and Apache platforms.
