Welocalize is looking for a freelance English to Norwegian Patent Translator and LQA Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality translation and linguistic quality assurance for complex patent documentation. This position is fully remote and open to candidates residing in Denmark or Norway.
What You'll Do
- Translate technical patent documents from English to Norwegian with high accuracy and fidelity.
- Perform Linguistic Quality Assurance reviews on translated patent materials.
- Ensure translations meet industry-specific terminology and legal standards.
- Maintain consistent quality and style across all assigned projects.
- Manage project timelines and deliver work according to agreed deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Native-level proficiency in Norwegian and excellent command of English.
- Proven experience translating patent documents from English to Norwegian.
- Strong understanding of patent terminology and legal language.
- Experience performing Linguistic Quality Assurance in a professional context.
- Ability to work independently and manage a freelance workload.
- Must be legally eligible to work and be physically located in Denmark or Norway.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote, freelance position. You can work from anywhere within Denmark or Norway, with no requirement to attend a physical office.
