Modine is hiring an Engineering Supervisor to join our Engineering Department and play a key role in designing a cleaner, healthier world. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the continuous design improvement of our Data Center cooling products while supervising a team of designers and engineers.

What You'll Do

• Lead sustaining engineering activities for assigned Data Center Cooling Systems, focusing on new plant launches, continuous design improvements, DFMA, and VA/VE cost reduction initiatives.
• Directly manage a team of 2-3 engineers and 1-2 CAD designers, overseeing project assignments, setting expectations, and ensuring team success.
• Release designs and drawings to production for sustaining engineering projects.
• Execute engineering for new plant launches, with a strong focus on supplier selection, including creating RFQ packages and performing technical feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to identify and implement continuous design improvements, verifying they meet customer and product requirements.
• Oversee preliminary design for cost estimating and quoting for VA/VE cost reductions, responsible for engineering NRE, validation expenses, and should-cost estimates.
• Interface with other Modine regions, manufacturing locations, suppliers, and customers.
• Assist the manufacturing team in developing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating and assembling components.
• Support team member development through training, mentorship, and performance management.
• Travel domestically or internationally up to 25%.

What We're Looking For

• College graduate in engineering or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience, OR a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong fundamental background and/or experience in HVAC technologies and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).

Nice to Have

• Previous engineering leadership experience (2+ years).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Thermodynamics, Fluid dynamics, and HVAC Technologies.
• Experience with designing products for manufacturing and assembly.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel.
• Project management experience.
• High level of initiative and positive work ethic.
• Organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems and the ability to interpret FEA & CFD results.
