DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring an Engineering Manager - MarTech to lead the development and maintenance of best-in-class solutions for our Content Management and Digital Assets engineering teams. What You'll Do

  • Lead development and maintenance of solutions for complex product groups, including Content Management and Digital Assets.
  • Develop data-driven analyses to surface new opportunities to differentiate and improve products and user experiences.
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end digital programs and initiatives, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles.
  • Develop digital training, development, and leadership development programs.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
  • Develop new methods, tools, and programs for quality assurance.
  • Contribute to budget plan development and deliver budget plans with guidance.
  • Lead in detecting and analyzing cybersecurity incidents and remediate security gaps.
  • Communicate actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan.
  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify team development needs.
  • Manage and report on the performance of the team.
  • Create a climate where people are motivated to do their best.
  • Translate future possibilities into breakthrough strategies.
  • Make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

What We're Looking For

  • 6 to 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 1 to 3 years supervising and directing people and resources to achieve specific results within limited timeframes.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, including versioning strategies, authentication/authorization, and performance considerations.
  • Familiarity with batch processing patterns and scheduled jobs, including data ingestion, transformation, and large-scale processing.
  • Experience using Agile development methodologies, working in a Product + Design + Engineering structure.
  • Experience building custom software solutions.
  • Experience planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives.
  • Experience leading teams of contractors in an onshore/offshore engagement.
  • Experience mentoring and growing the careers of Software Engineers.
  • A track record of elevating Operational and Engineering excellence.

Nice to Have

  • A Master's Degree or equivalent experience.

Technical Stack

  • Java-based backend systems, including Spring / Spring Boot.
  • Web development technologies using JSON, HTML, HTL, and CSS preprocessors.
  • JavaScript/Typescript and asynchronous call structures.
  • Angular, React, and other web technologies.
  • Unit Testing and Test Coverage technologies.
  • NRWL/NX Mono-repo or similar mono-repo architecture.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, or other Container technologies.
  • git-based source control.

Team & Environment

You will lead a substantial, diverse team comprising the Content Management and Digital Assets engineering teams. The role works within a Product + Design + Engineering structure and reports to senior colleagues.

  • Compensation Range: $95,200.00 - $158,800.00.
