About the Role
Manage engineering teams responsible for billing and payment platforms, driving technical excellence, team development, and delivery of critical financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineers building and maintaining billing and payment infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and finance teams to define roadmap priorities
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with financial regulations
- Mentor and develop engineering talent through coaching and career planning
- Drive agile practices and continuous improvement in team workflows
- Oversee incident management and post-mortem processes for payment systems
- Work closely with security teams to maintain data integrity and fraud prevention
- Guide technical design and architecture decisions for new features
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation
- Monitor key performance metrics and service level agreements
- Manage cross-team dependencies for timely feature rollouts
- Support onboarding and integration of new team members
- Promote engineering best practices across the organization
- Evaluate and adopt tools and technologies to improve development efficiency
- Participate in strategic planning for platform evolution
- Ensure documentation standards are maintained across systems
- Champion observability and monitoring across services
- Drive resolution of technical debt in core financial systems
- Facilitate knowledge sharing between engineering and business stakeholders
