Eaton Corporation is looking for an Engineer to provide expert technical support for our Low Voltage Power Distribution Products portfolio, including residential products, dry type transformers, switching devices, molded case breakers, miniature breakers, and select alternative energy related products. You will serve as a vital technical resource, assisting customers with application questions, troubleshooting, and product selection through email and chat channels.
What You'll Do
- Answer customer technical emails within the defined turnaround time.
- Handle cross-reference requests from customers.
- Provide pre-sale support including product selection, configuration, and budgetary quotes.
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.
- Follow standard procedures for escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
- Maintain and expand the product knowledge base for internal and external use.
- Refer to internal databases and external resources to provide accurate technical solutions.
- Use enterprise-wide tools like SharePoint and shared drives to address customer concerns.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and keep NPS/CES scores on target.
- Develop a productive working relationship with the US team for effective problem resolution.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports, and update process trackers in real-time.
- Conduct technical product knowledge sharing sessions to improve team capabilities.
- Identify training needs and create plans to bridge technical product skill gaps.
What We're Looking For
- A Graduate in Engineering, specifically Electrical.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the Switchgear Industry.
- Good understanding of the technical aspects of switchgear components, assemblies, and related applications.
- Strong problem-solving and product troubleshooting skills, with the ability to independently resolve customer Tier-1 and Tier-2 issues.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Advanced Excel knowledge and data analysis skills.
- Basic understanding of ERP, PLM, CRM, and other enterprise-wide tools.
