Dungarvin is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide client-driven case management services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses. Your core mission will be to identify and eliminate barriers to employment, assisting clients in obtaining and retaining independent work while building strong community partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of DDA (Developmental Disabilities Administration) and DVR (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation).
- Conduct assessments and interviews with clients to determine eligibility for employment services.
- Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
- Discover and maintain knowledge of client employment goals, potential employer matches, and other case management needs.
- Provide ongoing support to assist clients in obtaining and retaining independent employment.
- Assist clients in furthering their career growth and skill building.
- Document data and notes on individual progress toward goals and barriers to employment.
- Make connections to maintain strong community partnerships with other service providers and employers.
- Represent Compass at professional meetings, community events, and to members of the community.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled internal and external meetings.
- Travel throughout the area and provide transportation to clients as needed.
- Use assigned technology in the community, including laptop, cell phone, and designated software.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- One year of related experience and/or training working with people in crisis, specifically in employment services.
- A valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle insured for you as a driver.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Technology savvy, especially with Microsoft Office Applications and Zoom; experience with PC and Android devices.
- Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform CPR/First Aid as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Bachelor’s degree in the social service field.
