MLabs is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to tackle a hybrid challenge where low-level systems meet high-scale backend architecture. You will lead the effort to architect scalable solutions, optimize networked device firmware, and drive technical excellence for our distributed network.
What You'll Do
- Build new features and improvements across both backend API layers and device firmware.
- Test, deploy, and debug services that bridge the gap between application code and embedded systems.
- Write clear, documented, and extensively tested code for mobile, desktop, and server-side applications.
- Create and review technical designs and documentation to ensure infrastructure can handle billions of data points.
- Work closely with a technical leadership team to expand our global knowledge graph and distributed crawler capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of writing robust, maintainable, high-quality code.
- Proven experience building and scaling large distributed systems.
- Direct experience in low-level programming, embedded systems, or firmware development specifically for networked devices.
- In-depth familiarity with modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD, and a proven ability to debug and resolve issues within intricate, live software environments.
- Professional or native English language proficiency.
- Mastery of C and Go, with professional experience in JavaScript and firmware toolchains/embedded libraries.
