Capgemini is looking for an Embedded Linux Software Engineer with deep Yocto and BSP expertise to join our team of embedded software experts in Barcelona. You will play a key role in developing and supporting Linux-based embedded systems, focusing on providing technical expertise and support to internal teams on advanced industrial projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain BSPs for embedded Linux systems using the Yocto Project and the KAS framework.
- Support internal projects with technical onboarding, troubleshooting, and guidance related to the EdgeOS Linux distribution.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in Linux kernel drivers, bootloaders, and user-space applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of embedded Linux solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of build systems, development processes, and documentation.
What We're Looking For
- More than 3 years of experience in embedded Linux development with a strong focus on the Yocto Project and BSP development.
- Solid understanding of Linux kernel architecture, device drivers, and bootloaders.
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience supporting other development teams and providing technical guidance.
